CUSTOMER SERVICE

Obtain and Review Work Orders from Sales Counter

Determine tasks to be completed and necessary supplies and equipment

Retrieve customer vehicle from parking lot and position in appropriate work bay

Record vehicle mileage, physical damage, warning lights on or other problems on work order

Perform work as required 

If a minor mechanical repair – follow standard operating procedures for repairs

If a major mechanical repair 

    • determine what parts need to be purchased
    • estimate labor to be charged
    • return Work Order to Sales staff to obtain customer approval
    • once approved, order and receive parts
    • make appropriate repairs

Once work is complete, TEST DRIVE vehicle to ensure problem is corrected

Once determined to be complete, return customer vehicle to designated parking area ensuring that interior remains clean

Return customer keys to sales staff and inform their work is complete

STORE MAINTENANCE

ALL store employees are assigned specific or general work area maintenance tasks such as re-stocking supplies, organizing work areas, sweeping and mopping floors, emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, cleaning parking lot, etc.  Each employee is expected to perform store maintenance duties as assigned and to maintain the store in good working condition.

EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

ALL store employees are expected to utilize the equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures and manufacturer’s specifications to ensure correct outcomes and maintain safety standards.  Employees may be assigned to perform routine maintenance or assist maintenance staff in performing repairs.

TECHNICAL & CROSS-TRAINING

It is desirable for mechanics to be ASE Certified but may be credited for actual on-the-job experience.  Preference is given for Technical School or College training. Mechanics are expected to perform work in most major areas of vehicle repairs, and additional technical and cross-training is expected as well as company training of all types.  

PHYSICAL INVENTORY

ALL store employees may be required to participate in store physical inventory audits by assisting in the organization and counting of stock.
