Our story starts way back in 1929 when we first opened our doors to serve our community by bringing our hometown, personal approach to a trade where customer service wasn’t always a priority. In an industry where quality and service are often lost in the shuffle of trying to cut costs and protect profits, some might call us oddballs for taking such an approach to quality and service, but we’re OK with that. Even in today’s fast-paced world, we think the personal touch makes all the difference.
We launched our first retail shop in Batesville, Mississippi, and as expected, our fair, honest approach to customer service and community-minded values were a hit, and we quickly expanded into Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Texas, and Ohio.
When expanding into new locations, through outreach and programs like Gateway Gives Back, we do everything we can to positively affect the lives of our customers and employees while striving to become pillars in each and every community that we enter.
A lot of things have changed since those early days, but some things have stayed the same.
