Brentwood junior Chloe Wampler and Summit sophomore Keaten Wade were named the latest Gateway Tire Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 8.
Wampler provided a clutch performance in the Lady Bruins 44-38 Class AAA Sectional win over Beech Saturday to help Brentwood reach its first state tournament since 2013, while Wade led his team in scoring in both the Region 6-AAA semifinals and championship last week.
The two were chosen as part of the Athletes of the Week awards sponsored by Gateway Tire and Service Center of Franklin. One male and one female athlete from Williamson County is selected and featured each week in the Williamson Herald.
